Position Overview:

The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with industry regulations, and effective management of internal controls. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management within the oil and gas sector, a strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, and a proven track record in managing financial teams and improving financial processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in financial management or controlling roles, with at least 3-5 years in the oil and gas industry.
• Strong understanding of the oil and gas sector, including project accounting, cost management, and industry-specific financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills. Familiarity with industry-specific financial software is a plus.
• Knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and other industry-specific regulations (e.g., SEC filings, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance) and their application in the oil and gas sector.
