Cost Accounting, Senior Manager - Technology Services / Data Center / Construction

This role will oversee construction, project, and cost accounting for high-performance computing facilities and capital-intensive projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage cost tracking, variance analysis, and financial reporting for capital expenditures.
  • Ensure accurate allocation, reconciliation, and capitalization of project costs.
  • Develop and implement cost control measures, cost tracking systems, and allocation methodologies.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Construction, Engineering, Procurement, Operations, Corporate Accounting, etc.) to align financial objectives with project milestones.
  • Provide monthly/quarterly/annual reporting on project costs and financial performance.
  • Oversee construction-in-progress (CIP) accounts and ensure timely capitalization.
  • Drive continuous process improvements in cost accounting and financial controls.
  • Collaborate with Tax, Treasury, and IT to enhance cost tracking, automation, and reporting.
  • Support internal audits and stay updated on industry trends and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA, or Master’s preferred).
  • 8+ years in cost/project accounting, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Experience with CIP accounting and cost management for large-scale capital projects.
  • Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., D365, Coupa, Blackline).
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost allocation, and capital project financial reporting.
