Our client is a rapidly growing, private equity-backed technology services company, is seeking a Controller to play a critical leadership role in overseeing accounting and driving financial strategy. This role will report directly to the Deputy CFO and work closely with private equity owners. The Controller will be instrumental in preparing the company for successful transactions, ensuring financial accuracy, and supporting the company’s growth objectives.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP, managing all accounting operations such as A/R, A/P, GL, and revenue recognition, and leading the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Responsible for coordinating the budget and financial forecasts, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing the audit process, monitoring cash flow, and optimizing working capital.
• Develop internal controls, accounting policies, and providing financial insights for strategic decision-making.

Requirements:

• At least 7-12+ years of progressive accounting experience, in a Controller or Assistant Controller role.
• Big 4 or public accounting firm experience - a must.
• A CPA is required, along with experience working at a private equity-backed company or a holding company.
• Experience in using NetSuite.
• The candidate should ideally have worked at companies with annual revenues between $50M-$350M and have experience in the technology industry or SaaS business.
• A passion for technology, automation, and creating efficiencies is essential, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and collaborate effectively across teams.
