Remote Controller Role - PE Owned technology company

I'm working with one of my favorite clients, a rapidly growing PE backed technology/IT solutions company, to hire a Controller for their team.

• This role directly reports to the Deputy CFO and will play a critical leadership role on the executive team, not only overseeing Accounting in its entirety but also driving financial strategy & company growth.
• They will be instrumental in preparing the company for a successful transaction and future sale process.
• They will also have direct contact with the PE owners on an everyday basis.

The c-suite is incredibly down to earth but loves getting stuff done. They are focused, humble, and effective. These leaders are the type of people and managers you want to be around and who will go to bat for you.

The team is looking for someone who loves new tech and uses it to uplevel the work they do - the tech stack is already best in class and in-place, and they really want someone who is forward looking and loves leaning into the tools, so they have more time to drive strategy - "wants someone who wants to automate 90% of their job"

The role:

• Own the Accounting function for the org - lead and inspire a high performing team, ensure the team adopts the new technology/tech stack and drive automation.
• Generate and get all financial reporting into the hands of the c-suite, PE owners, and any external stakeholders
• Prepare the company for a successful transaction and future sale process from an accounting readiness perspective.
• In addition to month, quarter, and year end close, advise senior management on state of the business and financial strategy
• Direct preparation of budget, forecasts, and reporting variances
• Oversee all financial transactions in accordance with GAAP

Who you are:

• 8-15+ years of progressive accounting experience with a mix of public and private experience.
• Must have started career in public accounting (Big 4 highly preferred)
• Must have CPA
• Must have NetSuite experience
• Highly preferred experience working at a PE owned portfolio company
• Highly preferred to have worked at a company with annual revenue in range of $50m-$400m
• Must love automating, learning new tools, creating efficiencies
• Must be able to operate with ambiguity, dive in with little direction
• Need a good sense of humor and ability to move quickly to fit in!

Other details:

• Compensation: Base salary of $200k - $210k + 20-25% cash bonus
• Remote from anywhere in the US, preference for east coast or central time zone.
